[edit] Editing and adding pages
The Abelard principles should be followed at all times.
To edit a page, just click the edit tab at the top:
- Changes you make are instantly visible once you save the page.
- You do not have to be logged in to make a change
- The history of changes is kept so if you make a mistake it's easy to restore the previous version.
- If you want to try something without impacting the page itself you can use the discussion page or the Sandbox
To start a new page by searching:
- Search for the page or similar content. If any is found check existing pages first.
- If no matching page is found then there will be a link on the search return page to start a new page. Simply click that and edit the page as above.
To start a new page linked from an existing page:
- Add the name of the new page as a link by enclosing the page name you want in a pair of square brackets ([[....]]) and save the page.
- Your page name will appear as a red link - Red links mean the page doesn't exist yet.
- click the red link and edit the page.
