Principles

The Abelard Wiki has developed a system of page ranks to establish which pages need more input and validation, and what kind of support and additional input those pages need. There are different requirements for technical and non technical pages. All pages may be rated or may be awaiting rating, and all have a discussion page. Rating is a community driven activity, but whilst the system is developed Abelard may arbitrate (and communicate that arbitration via the discussion pages).

Community Page Ranking (CPR)

The wiki operates a system of Community Page Ranking which ranks pages from 0 (unranked) to 5 (validated). Each page can contain a template (which should be the first item on the page) entered between a double pair of curly braces - '{{' - template name is drawn from the set of pageranking0.. ..pageranking5. Discussions about pageranking are encouraged on the discussions page.

Rapidly changing pages will initially have a low Community Page Ranking (CPR) and well linked pages demonstrating validation to external sources and supporting literature will have a high Community Page Rank. Each CPR rating automatically assigns an appropriate category to the page so that all pages of a particular rank can be found quickly.
